In
the Intuition Tools of Intuition in Action™
you will find some of the secrets of how successful
people operate differently than those that don't succeed.
Yes they use "tried and true" logical strategies
and analytical thinking; but they do something more. They
foster inspiration, they cultivate intuition, and they
create a synergy for success. You don't have to be naturally
creative or a genius to do this, anyone can learn and
apply these skills and reap the same rewards.
"The
intellect has little to do on the road to discovery. There
comes a leap in consciousness, call it Intuition or what you
will, the solution comes to you and you don't know how or
why."
-Albert Einstein
My
Favorite Intuition Tool Strategy: The Coin Toss
You
can gain incredible insight from the simple process of a "coin
toss". In fact once you know this method you may find
it to be one of your tried and true methods for decision making.
Don't second guess that you know how this works. It is NOT
simply, giving one side of the coin the meaning of "yes
do it" and the other side "no don't". And yes
that is where you start. Try the method now as we explain
it.
First - What is it you want
to decide about? You
can use any question that has a yes or a no, or any question
that has just two ways to proceed.
Second-
Take a coin, any coin will do that has two different sides.
Decide which side of the coin will correlate to each decision.
Third
- Flip the coin and notice which way it lands. Which
decision came up for you to follow.
Fourth-
Immediately notice your gut reaction to the decision
that comes up. It is not which side comes up that matters,
but rather that immediate reaction of yours that is important.
Did
you like the idea of following that choice?
Or did you get a feeling of "oh no."?
You've
gained incredible invaluable awareness about the decision
you have to make with your response.
This
isn't just a trivial parlor trick. It is amazing
how much clarity people get using it. I've even seen people
use it for life changing decisions and when huge profits hung
in the balance. And no you don't HAVE to go with the reaction
that you initially have; but it becomes a very powerful awareness
you did not have before.
