Look at the goals you’ve set for 3 years from now. Think beyond 1 year to about where you want to be in 3 years. Why 3 years? This lets you have more possibilities from the get go.

Now reach even a little further. Either stretch one of those goals or add another one that you really, really would like but may seems impossible right now.

Keep this quote from Thomas Edison in mind,
“When you have exhausted all possibilities, remember this: you haven’t.”

Now ask yourself, “If I actually believed this was for sure going to happen what would I do TODAY?” Even though today you don’t know all the steps to make it a reality. I bet you anything you can think
of what you could do today if by some miracle it absolutely was going to come true. This taking even the smallest step toward your dream helps you start to shift your consciousness from
impossible to maybe and then to “Wow, I’m watching it really happen.”

Keep in mind that everything starts with an idea and a possibility. Ideas are currency, meaning you can buy reality with them.

Now tomorrow ask yourself the same question, If I actually believed this was for sure going to happen what would I do TODAY?” Now you’re building on the step you took yesterday. At the end of the day you’ll be two steps toward
your dream and guess what, you’ll have more ideas.

Do this process all week. Remember even the smallest steps count.

Soon synchronicity and miracles begin to happen and you watch as your dream is supported by you and others.

Jay Conrad Levinson, of Guerilla Marketing fame, stated, “In a nationwide test to determine why people buy, price came in fifth, selection fourth, service third, quality second, and, in first place — people said they patronize businesses in which they are confident.”

And here is the great Mind Power secret; if you are confident then the prospect senses your confidence and they become confident too. It’s all about you being congruent with your own feelings of both yourself and your product or service. Your feelings actually magnetize your thoughts. To have this congruency you have to really believe in your product or service, that it fills a need for your prospect, and thus it has true value for them. Once you truly deep down know this then it is much easier for you to feel conviction for your presentation. After all you are in true service of your soon-to-be client. Confidence is always contagious.

Intuition was being highlighted on Oprah’s Life Class in an October show. She reminded us that Intuition, our wise inner voice, or what Oprah called “life’s whispers,” does give us warning signs when we are about to get into harm’s way. At first it is just that, a soft whisper, then it gets a little louder, and if you don’t pay attention you end-up with the proverbial two-by-four which means calamity has happened. I’ve had my personal experiences of both and have learned that I much prefer and had better pay attention to the soft whispers. By the way, it also whispers the best way to find joy.

Watch this video on YouTube Embedded with WP YouTube Lyte.

Now that you’ve watch this video, think about what calamity you may be able to avoid or joy you could find if you pay attention to your own intuition while it is still a “life whisper.” This could literally save your life. For example, I live in Reno and 3 of my friends were at the Air Races where the recent air crash occurred and killed and injured many people. They were sitting right in the front row right where the air plane was going to crash 15 minutes later. Suddenly they got the feeling that it would be a good idea to go home 15 minutes early to “avoid the traffic.” Heeding that intuitive life whisper saved their lives. I would love to hear in a comment how listening to intuition has helped you.

Question from www.AskYourIntuition.com : Why am I not keen on studying to be a teacher, even though it makes sense to do it?

First of all who says “it makes sense?” When listening to your intuition it is only you that you need to be concerned with. So the real question becomes is it right for you? And remember that what is right for you may not be right for anyone else.

And how do you decide if it is right for you? Here are a few things to consider; and at first it may seem that this is a logical not intuitive way to look at it. But what is most important here is what do you know about yourself or what do you feel as you consider these questions. That brings in your intuition. And that then could answer the question of why you may not be keen on studying to be a teacher.

Is it a life you would love to be living? Imagine that you’ve finished your teacher training and are now living the life of a teacher. Think about what your life would be like. A good way to do this is to think about what a typical day would be like. Would you feel more or less energized by a day spent that way? Would you be excited preparing for that day? Would you be energized or worn out at the end of the day?

Is it fulfilling what is most important to you? (Remember you can only answer this for yourself) Let’s say that one of your needs is making a difference. Teaching could certainly fulfill this need. But only if it is the way that YOU want to make a difference. Maybe you would prefer to make a difference by creating art or writing. You can ask this question with whatever needs you have.
So get clear on the primary needs of your life and see how teaching would fulfill them or not.

Does it honor all of your core values? Something that will truly fulfill you will not ask you to compromise. Perhaps one of your core values is Adventure. Teaching could be adventurous to one person and not to another. And if adventure is important to you, then you could add more adventure by teaching overseas or doing workshops in different cities. Or you could look for an adventurous challenge to teach in an inner city or teach highly excelled children. Some people would love these challenges and some would hate them. Each of you will have different and unique core values. Take each of your values and see if there are any “yes buts” that come up as you look at the career of teaching

But let’s say that you do some journaling or meditate on the question and you do feel that it is in your best interest to study to be a teacher and you are still feeling hesitant. Explore that idea that this could be because teacher training is going to lead you to a path that you will actually be “keen on” and really truly love and teaching will be only a part of it or a step to it. So is your intuition telling you to stop and reconsider or is it your intellect. The real trick to intuition is to be totally open to the answer you get.
Intuition is always going to lead you to the peaceful flowing path. If you are not feeling that right now with the decision you are about to make, wait and spend more time with it. Look at other career choices and answer the same questions above. Do they honor your core values, fulfill what is most important to you and have you living a life you would love to be living?

Last week I talked about how your income thermostat can keep you stuck in a very narrow range of income. This happens mostly because of long held beliefs we all have that are no longer serving us. I went searching and found this article by Tyler Woods, at www.ehow.com that I thought would be useful for you to begin changing your beliefs.

How to Change a Negative Belief System

Beliefs are subtle but powerful; they tie us up in knots until we are so caught in our own self that we believe these beliefs define who we are or who we aren’t. Sometimes we need to change our belief systems in order to move ahead and grow.

Things You’ll Need: Desire to let go & a Quiet Space

Decide what belief system you want to change. Maybe your belief is “I am not smart.” Make the decision that you want to change that belief system and be open to how it will affect you if you let go of that belief. Be sure to take the time to fully make the decision. You have to want to change.

Find out where that belief system came from. Where did you hear that? Did someone tell you or did you make it up yourself? Understanding where a belief came from really is half the battle.

Be willing to let go. Most belief systems, whether negative or positive, serve a purpose. Decide what the purpose was and then allow yourself to let go.

Create a new belief to take the place of the old belief. You do not want a “belief void”. You might want to say, “I am a smart person,” and that will be your new belief.

Realize that your new awareness will provide you with the means and motivation to change for the better. You want your new belief to make you a better person.

Tips & Warnings

Be sure to take your time. If you rush the process, you are not changing anything. Remember the slower you go, the faster you grow.

Be sure to ask yourself plenty of questions and make sure all the answers are clear to you.

Make sure you are willing to totally let go of the old belief before creating the new belief.

Notice in this article that Tyler Woods has you start where you are; this is an AWARENESS of what you do NOT WANT. This is a great place to begin, as we’re so familiar with where we are and thus what we want to move away from. Then you’re asked to explore your UNDERSTANDING of that belief: where it came from and what purpose it might have served. This helps you DISASSOCIATE from the old belief.
Then you RECONDITION with a NEW belief of what you DO WANT at a more motivated level.
Expectation - You’ve increased your thermostat to a new higher more positive level .

Please share and add any thoughts or questions you have.

In the last few weeks I’ve worked with a number of clients that had a challenge with growing their income. They were settling for just enough to pay their bills; but with nothing left over for the extra fun things of life. They felt that wanting more riches would be extravagant and actually wrong.

The thing though was that they were right on the edge. They had to carefully monitor their money and sometimes they had to juggle accounts or wait a few days to pay those bills. It was causing a lot of stress and struggle in their life. That had set their income thermostat to “just enough.” If the money flowing in dipped a little they worked a little harder and if it grew a little more than necessities demanded then they made a big purchase or relaxed until their income fell again. So not only did they not have money to improve their life style but they constantly lived with uncertainty. But they didn’t look at how to raise their income thermostat.

Interestingly one of these clients’ personal values was being generous. They gave of their time and their money and could always be counted on when one of their friends needed support. What we explored was that there are two sides of being “generous” a giving AND a receiving side. And it is like breathing that you can’t complete the cycle without both breathing out and breathing in. The flow of money and abundance, whether it is our personal household income, our businesses income or the economy of our country, is all about circulation. The money can’t generously go out unless you are also “generously receiving”. This means that you are glad to receive it and accept it graciously. Just think how much more generously you can give if you have more coming in. So it is about being willing to open the tap and changing beliefs that it is better to give than to receive. The bottom line is always you CAN’T give if you don’t receive and you struggling isn’t helping anyone.

Here is a video with some great affirmations to help you recondition your thinking and beliefs about wealth, receiving and giving.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QJfODMBSBcg

I love this video because you can use it for a quick break to add peace to your day.
Adding peace and wealth – not a bad combination.

This is just one tool and I would love to know yours. Also, where are YOU willing to stop struggling in your life and what is still holding you back from doing so? Let me know in a comment below.

“The Power of Three” is all about harnessing the power of focus. The premise here is to escape from the tyranny of “busyness” and to understand how to apply the Pareto Principle ( better known as the 80/20 rule) in your life. This rule states that 80% of your results are routinely created by 20% of your activities. So the key is to determine what is most important, do more of it and to do it first.

Don’t forget to give 3 things to your Ta Da list (the list that the Universe will do for you) too.

Start out by choosing what 3 things would make the biggest difference in your life in the next few weeks.

The next step is to decide each day (either the night before or before you start into your work) what three things would make the biggest difference if they were accomplished that day. This is a total of 3 things, not 3 for each area you have chosen for the next few weeks. Also it truly is what is most important for that day, and so it may include things that having nothing to do with your three priorities for the next few weeks.

Make sure to make your 3 daily priorities seem extremely manageable. If something doesn’t seem easy or will take too long then break it down into smaller steps. One of the most important ideas hw=ere is to build on success. When you succeed and start accomplishing things it feels good and it is then easier to do the next thing that you want to do.

Finally, if you do nothing else make sure you get your three daily priorities accomplished. Do this and suddenly you will see the most important things in your life actually happening, and quicker than you ever thought possible.

Jennifer White the author of “Work Less Make More”
had this to say about the power of three:

“Harness the power of focus. What I often see is people who desperately want to be more successful, but they’re unable to focus long enough to get anything done.”

You can learn to focus by using The Power of Three.

Anyone at any time can only put focus and energy behind three things.

Three projects.

Three big ideas.

When you really put your passion behind three things, amazing results show up.

You’re building momentum that allows you to get results faster than you do when you’re juggling a multitude of things”

Think about what you would like those Powerful Three things to be for you in the coming couple of weeks, those three things that would make the biggest difference in your life? The Power of Three will help you use the Power of Focus. Just like sunlight focused thru a magnifying glass can be used to start a fire, you will magnify your own personal energy to lead to incredible results. I can hardly wait to see what that will be.

Here is a way to get to their real objection and to get all of their concerns out on the table. Instead of answering an objection dig deeper. Let me give you an example.

Your prospect says that they just don’t have the money right now.

Playback the objection
“So you’re saying your funds are a little low” or “No money”

Make the objection specific
ask, “Why do you say that?” and then listen (you’ll learn a lot. And this is where your own intuition or gut insticts will really come into play)

Isolate the objection
“Suppose we were able to isolate that issue? I know it isn’t resolved right now; but just suppose we could . Is there anything else standing in the way of you owning this service?” or “ of us doing business together?” or “of us moving forward?” etc.

Repeat the isolation process until you get to the real or last objection

Create Options
“What if I could offer you a package that costs only__________, would that help?

Where are you in your intentions for your year?

Yes it is the middle of the year and not the normal time that people look at their intentions. And yes it it really the perfect time. Keep these thoughts in mind as you review & set your intentions/goals to still make this a winning year.

Make your intentions quantifiable and specific rather than general. You want to be able to know for sure if you reached your desired results. You must be able to track how you are doing. That also means you must know exactly where you are right now as well.

Set yourself up to win by choosing quarterly intentions that may be a stretch; but are definitely doable.

On a scale of 0 to 10, you want to set a Minimum Intention that is at a definite easy 9 or 10, in other words, putting attention on it, it will positively happen.

On this same scale, choose a Stretch Target Intention for this same item that you would set at a 7 or 8.

Taking this same item to the Extraordinary Intention level would bring results of synchronicity, miracles, and the unexpected. This is where others might step in to help. These are results that you don’t make happen, but rather you just are open to attracting them. It would be a 5 or a 6. In other words still in the realm of possibility but everything has to line up to have it happen. You will be amazed at how even just setting an intention at this level will have it more likely happen.
